He was named 2006 West Virginia Music Teacher of the Year and was also a finalist for the 2009 West Virginia Professor of the Year Award. He is currently Professor of Music and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at Shepherd University in West Virginia and Associate Artistic Director of the Opera Camerata of Washington.
