Event Title: Monongalia County Master Gardeners Class Date & Time: November 04, 2009 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM Description: The 2009 classes will begin Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 PM in the WVU-Monongalia County Extension Office located in BigLots plaza in Westover. The first class will cover an introduction to the organization and pretest. The classes will continue on Wednesdays every week from 6:30-9:30 PM through November 18th. A total of 30 educational hours is required and a trainee may not miss more than one training session and must score 80% on a final exam. In addition, 30 hours of volunteer service is required and must be completed on or before July 1, 2011 in order to become a Certified Master Gardener. Students will be accepted on a "first come-first serve" basis. The nonrefundable cost for the class is $125 and covers the cost of the textbook, class materials, Monongalia County MG Organization dues, and a name badge (which will be received upon certification). Checks should be made payable to the Monongalia County Master Gardeners, and turned in at the first class.
